See on map >>> At Parkland Alpaca Farm, we feature award-winning alpaca breeding stock as well as some beautiful fiber animals. Come and meet our herd. Offering private consultations on alpaca ownership and husbandry, fiber sorting and grading demonstrations, and skirting demonstrations. Raw alpaca fiber for the hand spinner and alpaca clothing available at our farm store. We look forward to spending some time with you this weekend.

right on Shine Hill Rd, and left on North Rd. We would love to have you stop in to visit with the alpacas, browse the store or just to say hello! We welcome visitors year round. We have some outrageous homegrown alpaca yarn/fleece as well as US-made products and Peruvian-imported products. We will be offering many fun activities for kids and adults all day, each day. Check our website for for a complete list. We may also have demonstrations on angora rabbit care (and hopefully rabbit babies for sale). In addition to fiber, we hope to have our friends from Fiddlehead Creek at our farm selling their native NYS plants, home-grown maple products, a variety of wooden bird houses, and pieces from their photo gallery.

Rte 22 in Salem (traffic light), go northwest on County Rte 30 through
West Hebron, left on County Rte 47, and go 0.8 mi. Farm is on right across
from Barkley Lake. You will enjoy our breath-taking view of the hills and lakes while visiting our farm. Our farm store features skeins
of yarn in many natural colors; and
socks, hats, gloves, and scarves (all made in the US from alpacas raised
in the US). Also, we have teddy bears made from baby alpaca fiber, free finger puppets for children, and refreshments for
everyone. We will be selling pure New York State maple products from our friends at Mapleland Farms. We hope to offer needle felting again this year; and if we do, materials
will be provided to learn the art and a full line of supplies will be available to
buy.

Quarry Ridge Alpacas

Rd. Continue 1/4 mile to Quarry Ridge Alpacas, #453, on the
right. Quarry Ridge is perched high on a hillside with spectacular views of the mountains of Vermont. Bring a picnic and enjoy the day - weather cooperating! Award-winning alpacas graze in the pastures and young alpacas will be available for your acquaintance. Our Anatolian Shepherd dogs watch over the herd. On-going demonstrations of spinning and dyeing. We will present a discussion on raising alpacas. We are proud sponsors of the Nuñoa Project. Our farm store
features fleece, roving, yarn in natural and dyed colors, and knitted
items including alpaca socks, bears, and finger puppets. Designer yarns will be available for
purchase along with original patterns and instruction. | |

Fiber Kingdom Visit website >>> From intersection of NY Rte 22 and Broadway in Salem (traffic light), go east on East Broadway (Rte 153) 0.6 mi. Farm is on left. Fiber Kingdom is housed in a cluster of renovated 18th and 19th century barns which contain a working flock of incredibly fluffy colored and white angora rabbits, spinning and weaving shops, and fiber arts studios. The rabbits have been carefully bred and selected over 25 years for superior fiber production. On-going demonstrations of spinning and weaving - spinners and weavers will be busy plying their crafts through both days. They will eagerly share their enthusiasm with you and answer your questions. A bonus - the fields around the buildings will be occupied by Moments in Time's sheep.

base of Schoolhouse Hill, and go 2 mi. to driveway. Our friendly animals are ready to welcome you to Haven Hill Farm! Meet the young and not-so-young alpacas, and feel their super-soft fiber. Anytime during the weekend, we invite you to learn the basics of wet-felting, and see what beautiful items can be made from this simple technique. We will also have a loom set up so that everyone can try their hand at weaving. From 2 to 4 each day, you can watch hand spinning using our homegrown fiber. If shopping is on your mind, please visit our farm store, the Alpaca Attic, to see a beautiful collection of handmade items, as well as yarns and roving for you to exercise your own creativity! Our gardens and perennial plant nursery will also be open to visitors, and refreshments are always available. | |

south on County Rte 113. Farm is on left. Is this a three-ring circus
or just everyday at the Kennedy’s Farm? We have three different registered
flocks which yield a variety of beautiful fibers (Romney, Merino-crosses,
and Cheviot). Farm store products include fresh maple syrup from Moses Family Maple; and high
quality fleece, yarn and roving for spinning. Also lambs, watercolor landscape paintings, and refreshments for sale.

Elihu Farm
Elihu Farm has raised their sheep naturally, on pasture for over 20 years. They have Romney and crossbred sheep, emphasizing soft fleeces for hand spinning. Their white, gray and brown (moorit) shorn fleeces have won many prizes at fairs and festivals.
