At Parkland Alpaca Farm, we offer award-winning alpaca breeding stock as well as some beautiful fiber animals.  Come and meet our herd. We would love to have you stop in to visit with the alpacas, browse the store or just to say hello!  We welcome visitors year round. We have some outrageous homegrown alpaca yarn/fleece as well as USA made products and Peruvian imported products.  In addition to fiber, our friends from Fiddlehead Creek will be at our farm selling their native NYS plants and maple products.

On our farm you will find a beautiful menagerie of friends including Romney sheep, Nubian milking goat, alpacas, Flemish giant rabbits, and Bernese Mountain dogs. We offer raw sheep and alpaca fleeces, roving, handspun yarn, and local mill-processed yarn from homegrown wool. Farm store features skeins of yarn in many natural colors - 50% off on selected skeins; and socks, hats, gloves, and scarves (all made in the US from alpacas raised in the US). Also, we have teddy bears made from baby alpaca fiber, free finger puppets for children, and refreshments for everyone.  Try needle felting and see how easy it is.  Materials will be provided to learn the art; and supplies will be available to buy.  Opportunities for hands-on with the alpacas also available all day long.  You will learn many aspects about alpacas from their background to how to care for these beautiful creatures.  We love to answer your questions - the more the merrier. Of course, our alpacas are for sale!

From the North (Granville), take Route 22 South. Two miles before  the village of Salem, turn left on Quarry Rd. Continue 1/4 mile to  Quarry Ridge Alpacas, #453, on the right.
From the South, take Route 22 North through the village of Salem.  Turn right on Quarry Rd. immediately after the village. Continue 2  miles to Quarry Ridge Alpacas, #453, on the left.

Quarry Ridge is perched high on a hillside with spectacular views of the mountains of Vermont. Award-winning alpacas graze in the pastures and young alpacas will be available for your acquaintance. Our Anatolian Shepherd dogs watch over the herd. Spinning will be  demonstrated all day and we will present a discussion on raising  alpacas as well as a  demonstration of hand-dyeing.  Designer yarns will be available for purchase along with original patterns and instruction. Our farm store features fleece, roving, yarn in natural and dyed colors, and knitted items including alpaca socks, bears, and finger puppets. Bring a picnic and enjoy the day - weather cooperating!

Visit a flock of extravagantly beautiful angora rabbits, the result of 25 years of selective breeding for quality spinning fibers.  These fluffy producers of luxury fibers in white and natural colors share a renovated 19th century barn with chickens, ducks and cats – truly a PEACABLE KINGDOM. Two renovated barns contain our studio and shops with a broad selection of fibers, yarns (many of them unique), spinning/weaving/knitting/felting equipment and supplies, books/magazines/instructions, and dyes.  Spinners and weavers are on-hand to answer questions.

The Alpaca Attic, our farm store, features felted alpaca scarves – each one unique, yarn from our animals, and a wide variety of alpaca products from socks to sweaters. We also grow beautiful perennial plants – a great Mother’s Day gift or a lovely addition to your own flower bed. Visitors are welcome to wander through our gardens.

All day –  Community rug making - join the fun. Design and layout - Saturday morning; and alpaca felting and fulling - Saturday and Sunday. Participants receive tickets to win the finished rug.

Is this a three-ring circus or just everyday at the Kennedy’s Farm? We have three different registered flocks which yield a variety of beautiful fibers (Romney, Merino-crosses, and Cheviot). Farm store products include fresh maple syrup; and high quality fleece, yarn and roving for spinning. Also lambs for sale; and watercolor landscape paintings.

From north: Take I-87 to Exit 15 Saratoga. Turn left on NY Rte 50 east. Follow signs to NY Rte 29 east to Schuylerville. Continue through Schuylerville on Rte 29 and turn right onto NY Rte 40 south. Drive 7.5 mi. and turn left onto Meeting House Rd. Drive up the hill 1mi., turn right onto Hoag Rd (sign on corner) and go about 1 mi. to our driveway.
From south: Take I-87 to Exit 7 to Alt Rte 7 east. Turn left onto NY Rte 40. Drive north through Troy, Melrose, and Schaghticoke. A little over 5 mi. from signal in Schaghticoke turn right onto Meeting House Rd (look for sign). Follow directions above.

Experience alpacas on a whole new level at Sunset Ridge. Get up close and rub noses or stroke a silky soft neck. Ask questions about the animals, the alpaca industry, or fiber processing. The gift shop is hard to pass by without finding that special alpaca product or the softest, fluffiest stuffed alpaca animal. Kids crafts all day. We welcome farm visits year round.

From Troy and south, take NY Rte 40 to Schaghticoke. Turn right at the traffic light, onto Rte 67. Go east ¼ mile, turn left onto Geary Rd. Farm is 3.7 miles farther, on Beadle Hill Road.
From Greenwich and north, take NY Rte 40 south from its intersection with Rte 29. Turn left at the sign for Easton. Turn left onto Meetinghouse Rd. At top of hill, turn right onto Hoag Rd. At end of Hoag Rd, turn right onto Beadle Hill Rd. Go ½ mile to the farm, on the left.

Elihu Farm has raised their sheep naturally, on pasture for over 20 years. They have Romney and crossbred sheep, emphasizing soft fleeces for hand spinning. Their white, gray and brown (moorit) shorn fleeces have won many prizes at fairs and festivals. Farm store features carefully skirted fleeces, washed fleeces, cuts of frozen lamb, eggs, and stewing chickens. Lemoncello Ridge Farm's garments and gift items made from alpaca fiber will be available for purchase.
